WHAT: "REMIX II: Tuned Up" picks up the beat, and the heat, from last year's inaugural event of the Women's Board of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association (CSOA) with a soul-satisfying blend of music, cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and mingling. Chicago's hottest party of the winter features an electrifying entertainment lineup that includes Chicago’s legendary DJ Madrid, DJ Masonic (aka Chicago Symphony Orchestra's Mead Composer-in-residence, Mason Bates) and Merit Honors Jazz Combo.
Along with the music, hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, including signature cocktails provided by Tito’s Handmade Vodka and beer provided by Half Acre Brewing Company, guests will have the opportunity to bid on one-of-a-kind items in the silent and live auctions. Among special items up for bid will be
• Two tickets to the 2013 GRAMMY® Awards, generously donated by the Recording Academy,
• Jerseys, hockey sticks and pucks signed by Blackhawks Hall of Famer Bobby Hull and Stanley Cup sensation Patrick Sharp,
• And an extraordinary and unusual journey through the Scottish Highlands aboard The Royal Scotsman., donated by R. Crusoe & Son.
REMIX is a fundraising event presented by the Women’s Board of the CSOA with the enthusiastic assistance of the CSOA’s’ Overture Council. Proceeds help support the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s learning and access programs for students of all ages and our mission to more deeply engage the Chicago community with the CSO and Symphony Center. Navigant Consulting, Inc. is the event sponsor of REMIX.
