The concept behind Glimpse is to try to write music dictated by instinct rather than influence. ‘To just write down a feeling', hopefully, being as honest as possible. Chris has always felt that honesty is the back bone of life and reason. He believes Human beings will always be attracted to honesty and will feel comfortable knowing that what they are listening to is real and came from somewhere that was important to someone at some point. As an individual he is interested in so many different styles of music, in and outside of the electronic spectrum. From an early age he had an interest in Jazz, Blues and Techno, performing in several bands and releasing electronic music on various U.K. based labels under different aliases (Attic, Olek, and Spero). He then studied Sculpture at Central Saint Martin’s art college. After leaving Saint Martins in 2000 he started up Glimpse Recordings with Kompakt. Glimpse is one of a few U.K based labels to be distributed through the Cologne based Company.
