DIETRICH SCHOENEMANN (Prototype 909, Tora Tora Tora, Hidden Agenda)
Artist of many masks, one of the most influential and pioneering techno producers in the United States, and a driving force behind the legendary acid techno outfit Prototype 909, Dietrich Schoenemann continues to produce and perform around the globe. Musician, producer, performer, DJ, overlord of US electronic vinyl labels, he is behind the labels Tora Tora Tora, Hidden Agenda, the Stamp Series and ADDON, and has releases on many others including Syndikat, DeepFried, Blueline, Droid, Plastic City, Bipolar, High Octane, KK Records and Sonic Groove. His current sound traverses genre boundaries and blends techno and minimal to capture the energy and pulse of today's dancefloors. Always taking chances and keeping an open mind, he has been known to throw down anything from electro to classic house to synth pop and ambient abstractions during his DJ sets. Dietrich began performing live in NYC clubs when he was a teenager in the early 90s, but after the formation of Prototype 909 (along with Taylor Deupree and Jason Szsotek) in the summer of 1993, he quickly forged his unique sound into the EDM soundscape. His tracks have been featured on a wide spectrum of mix CDs from artists as varied as Danny Tenaglia, Andre Galluzzi, Erick Morillo, Frankie Bones, Miss Yetti and more. Dietrich has performed all over the world: Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Budapest, Peru, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Canada, Amsterdam, and throughout the U.S. Next on his list: Nashville.
