On Saturday December 10th we are honoured to be teaming up with one of our favourite labels, Hessle Audio. For this very special night we welcome Pearson Sound, Ben UFO and Pangaea who are the founding members of the label alongside fellow Hessle Audio artist - and man behind label classics such as Claptrap and Twice - Joe.
No record label has been more vital to Dubsteps' continuing evolution than Hessle Audio. Founded in 2007 by David Kennedy (Pearson Sound), Ben Thomson (Ben UFO) and Kevin McAuley (Pangaea) it quickly became a benchmark for quality, debuting artists like Cosmin TRG, Untold and Blawan.
Skip forward to May 2011 and the release of the defining '116 & Rising' compilation, a collection of retrospective works and upfront material from all the artists featured on the label so far, plus new tracks from producers admired by the collective.
Each Hessle founder brings his own unique talent and approach to the table. Pearson Sound is a prolific and in-demand producer and DJ. Over the last five years he has honed his unique bass-driven music for many respected and diverse labels such as Swamp 81, Tempa, Hemlock, Aus and of course, Hessle Audio. Earlier in the year he joined the FABRICLIVE legacy, compiling the 56th edition of the revered CD mix series.
Ben UFO has rightfully taken up his place as one of the UK's leading selectors, and has developed a devout international following through his DJ skills alone. His oft-imitated style is showcased perfectly on his forthcoming Rinse mix CD. And not to be outdone, Pangaea has produced numerous genre classics in amongst his concise discography. Combining elements of house, techno, classic dubstep, and uncategoriseable rhythmic innovation, Pangaea's own tracks and DJ sets have set him miles ahead of his contemporaries in UK dance music.
We are very excited to be bringing all three founding members together under one roof for one night only alongside fellow Hessle Audio artist, Joe.
