  • * DEG * Born in 1972, Deg was initially influenced by the music of his parents. His mother was teaching modern jazz dancing while his father was a professor in informatics. During the emerging of the first electronic sounds generated by personal computers like Commodore 64, Spectrum, Sinclair and more... He was without a doubt the biggest fan of artists like Martin Galway and Rob Hubbard. Deg really began to deejay at the beginning of the early "AB Sounds" and "Chicago Jacks" explosion. With passion and hard work, he played his first gigs at some school parties after which he organised his first underground parties with some friends in Brussels. Here, everything started ! In 1990, due to his reputation, he finally was given residencies in clubs like "Mauna Kea" and "Borsalino". He was one of the first Belgian techno deejays in 1991. As one of the co-founders of the BWP Experiments (D-Jack, Mike DMA, Sebastian S), he was an active member of this organisation whose goal was to promote "techno" and educate people to acquire a bigger audience. Many Belgian well-known artists and DJ's were influenced by them. Deg also played in sonic temples as Boccaccio, Globe, Barocci,... He was main resident at organisations like "Rave Explosion" and "Network" with the first appearances in Belgium of Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, Leo Anibaldi, Dan Curtin, Vapourspace, Dave Clarke, DJ Hell, Blake Baxter, Daniel Bell, The Advent, Tom Middleton, Underground Resistance and many others... Many times he played at the PK Studio parties with the Brussels underground during the revival of Acid music and Industrial UK sounds like Rephlex, Warp, Evolution, etc... Deg is also known for his international career (Mayday) and played all over Europe... In 1997, he joined the resident team at Fuse to the joy of the crowd. As a producer, he has released since 1991 a dozen of records and remixes on Belgian labels. He's behind many club anthems which were acclaimed worldwide ang got several licences all around the world. They're still classics today !
