It's been merely 3 weeks since our first boat party and we can still feel the amaaazing and unique vibe & atmosphere we had on board thanks to all of you! After listening to all your feedbacks it only felt natural to get a 2nd round, so here we go: Welcome to ‘The Sinner's Boat’.
We've been for quite a while now trying to find the right occasion to bring our guest over and the time has finally arrived! Flying in from Berlin we have the immense pleasure to give the control on the decks of our Sinner’s Boat to Javier Logares (Get Physical\Bar25). He has been rocking the german capital dancefloors for a long while now. With already 3 releases on Bar25 label , he became a regular Dj of this mythic and hedonistic party paradise. His last release 'El sueño español' opened him the doors to the GPM label last year. With few more under his sleeve, he’s one of the upcoming artists most sought after at the moment. Making his UK debut with us, make sure this is one not to be missed!!
Our lovely residents EleK-fun and Jos Vogel will warm things up to the boiling point where all the sins will outburst on the dancefloor. Once again, happiness and smiles all the way :-)
This is an advance ticket only event, and limited capacity. Early birds are just a tenner, don’t fall asleep and grab yours while they last! Once they run out price will go up to £12 & £15.
Last but not least, there will be a free afterparty for all the boat assistants. Details TBA very soon, keep your eyes peeled for more info!
See you on board xx
Javier Logares has had rhythm flowing through him since his early teens. Coming from an instrumental background, his discipline, hard work and sheer talent have seen him go from strength to strength in the four years he has been involved in dance music.
Having honed his skills with a string of successful releases and remixes, his next venture sees him stepping out from the dark afterhours and into the limelight with his forthcoming release on Get Physical. “El Sueño Español”, released 30 June 2010, is a three track EP that touches right on the pulse of the Get Physical sound from the start. 2011 is no different having had a track released on the FullBody Workout vol 7 “Proyecto Lazer” 12” on GPM, Art Brigde VA mixed and selected by him personally with Get Physical tracks and exclusive new track of his ¨Crossing Bones”. His second solo EP on Get Physical Music is just on its way coming out late July “ Silicon Drift EP” with remixes by Roman Flügel and Dapayk.
Having lived in Berlin since 2007 he has been enjoying regular appearances at clubs like Bar25, Watergate, Arena, Goldengate, MIKZ, Ballhaus Ost, Ritter Butzke and Villa.
His latest release on the Bar25 label , titled “Intringulis”, came out in March 2010, with a great remix courtesy of Gavin Herlihy. His first 2 EPs “The Right Clue” (digital) and “Plastik Puppe" (vinyl) are currently available on the Bar25 record label. More recent projects have seen him on remix duty with notorious Berlin stalwart “Jake the Rapper” amongst others.
Having built up a formidable reputation for himself during his teens as one of the most respected and popular drummers in the Asturias Region of Spain, his creativity saw him shifting out from behind the drums, and experimenting with composition on the piano and guitar. In 2002, Javier left Spain for London, UK.
Around 2004, at the behest of a few good friends, Javier went to his first techno parties. Instantly hooked on the creativity and intricacy of electronic music, he began experimenting with producing music on his computer, and finding ways to combine electronic and more conventional musical elements. This lead to Javier's first steps into live electronic music performance, with a string of collaboration performances as Custom 11 at the now defunct Shoreditch night X&O. Having acquired a taste for electronic music performance, and further refining his skills as an electronic producer, Javier started playing out at squat parties and underground raves in such random venues as disused police stations and kindergartens.
His Dj sets, using Ableton Live, have always managed to create an unparalleled sense of excitement. Early in 2007 Javier decided to move to Berlin to further pursue his music career. During this time he was fortunate enough to rub shoulders with some of the pioneers in the scene, and was able to get his first track released on the "Studio Stereo" Tss-001 compilation.
Returning to London, 2008 saw him hold down his first residency at the notorious London after hours '36 Kirton Gardens', with regular guest slots for Vulgar Disco and Sub Prime Disco Crisis. Having enjoyed one of the most musically inspiring summers of his career, the bug started biting again, and once again, Javier returned to Germany to follow up on the connections he had made the previous year.
Javier's rich instrumental roots are evident in his music. Constantly fusing rich melodies and intense bass lines with all the goodness of today's' minimal and tech-house elements, his productions are constantly exciting and invigorating to listen to.
