BUTCH – Germany
Labels: Great Stuff / Trapez / 8bit / Craft / Area Remote
BUTCH has spent the past three years presenting us with a constant amount of high quality output through internationally renowned labels such as Trapez, AFU Limited and Great Stuff.p. Butch saw this album as a possibility to present his love and rich amount of ideas for all spectra of dance music from pumping peak-time Techno via smooth Tech-House to minimalist deep sound experiments. Similar to his intuition whilst playing on the dance-floor, his releases always grab the nerv and vibe of the moment and not only capture his audiences, but many DJs worldwide just as well.
Butch-releases such as “Mushroom Man“ (AFU-Limited), “Earth“ (Trapez) or “Amelie“ (Great Stuff) can be found in the playlists of prominent names such as Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Villalobos, Luciano and many others. Already his second release “On the Line“ was so successful it got him two nominations in the categories “Best Techno“ and “Best Remix Techno“ for the Beatport Music Awards 2007.
BUTCH is a powerhouse of the global electronic music scene.......see this Turkish - German talent reveal his true skills.
VINCENZO - Germany
Labels: Dessous / Poker Flat / Liebe*Detail / Teardrop
An artist who has such talent, style and longevity is a rare creature nowadays... and Italo-German Vincenzo Ragone, known to the House world as Vincenzo, is indeed one of these special creatures! Hard to track down and often a man of the night, Ragone has been casting his deep and truly one-of-a-kind takes on House and Techno out into the ether for well over a decade. Vincenzo was a true child of the Acid House explosion, and one of an original cast of Hamburg based Djs and Producers, hanging out and collaborating with friends who would later become some of the trend setting icons of the present - notably Poker Flat's future ringmaster Steve Bug offered him some crucial gigs at the revered 'Reduced' parties at Hamburg's 'Front' Club!
Recent releases and remixes on Dessous and Hamburg's Liebe*Detail records suggested a more mature, techy sound had sprouted from the seasoned house-head's mixing desk. 2007's notable remix for the Liebe*Detail offshoot label 'Spezial', a stunning re-think of a Move-D modern classic, 'Anne Will', won him notoriety for effortlessly transcending both the Deep House and Minimal Techno worlds
His records, both old and new, are consistently played and charted by a spectrum of Djs that most producers could only dream of... No surprise then that his most recent EP for Dessous, 'The Resident,' picked up big support from steve bug, laurent garnier, josh wink, ian pooley and sasse.only to name a few: proof once more that this traditionally-underground impresario of House is here to stay, and continues to share his unique sound with the world.
TRUS'ME - UK
Labels: Prime Numbers / Fat Cty
David Wolstencroft burst onto the with three mysterious 12-inches that grabbed the attention of house heads worldwide. His name, Trus'me, seemed to be the key: Whether it was the bumping deep house of "W.A.R. Dub" or the dreamy beatdown stylings of "Browns," his releases appealed to open-eared listeners tapped into the soulful spirit of vintage US house music. But after his relationship with Jerome Derradji's Still Music broke down, he found himself with a stack of unreleased material both by himself and friends, and little idea on what to do next.
So, he did what any producer does: he started his own label. Prime Numbers has put out tracks by Detroit producer Reggie Dokes as well as various artists associated with the Edinburgh-based Firecracker Recordings. And it looks to be set for the future as well, with a raft of new releases from Trus'me, Linkwood and others planned. In addition to getting the label up and running, Wolstencroft has also started up his weekly Disco 3000 party in his hometown of Manchester, and he's already got plans to take it worldwide.
