In what will be the most spectacular dance event this country has ever seen, Gatecrasher The Summer Sound System is pleased to announce the inclusion of the following acts to the festival line-up:
WAY OUT WEST (LIVE) [Melbourne / Sydney]
Having thrilled festival audiences from Budapest to Creamfields this year, Way Out West is one of dance music's most accomplished acts. A massively well respected DJ and producer in his own right, Jody Wisternoff returns to Australia with a powerhouse live show. Way Out West release a brand new album 'Intensify' (Distinct'ive/EMI) on November 5th.
LUKE SLATER [Melbourne / Sydney / Perth]
UK techno legend Luke Slater (artist/DJ/producer) is a firm favourite with Australian audiences. A prolific artist now signed to Mute Records, his recent albums include 'Freek Funk' and 'Wireless'. His stunning debut DJ mix 'Fear & Loathing' (React/Shock) is also out now - an essential release for anyone who likes their beats unconventional, basslines twisted and their compilations raw. Expect an explosive set at the Summer Sound System festivals.
LUCIEN FOORT [Melbourne / Sydney / Perth]
Dutchman Lucien Foort (aka Funk Function) is currently rocking the world as both a DJ and producer. A creative maverick and not one to be pinned down to any one style, Lucien combines adrenaline, groove and melody, creating layer after layer of sounds to superb effect. Word from his recent Slinky tour of Australia confirms that Lucien is a cut above the rest. Not to be missed.
Further additions to the line-up include euro-trance supremo ARMIN VAN BUUREN (the Netherlands), Germany's STORM (aka Marc Spoon formerly of Jam & Spoon) (Sydney only) and DJ TOM (Melbourne only). Local additions to the line-up include [LOVE] TATTOO (Stephen Allkins) - Sydney only - and PNAU - Melbourne only.
With an expected 50,000 [yes, fifty thousand total crowd capacity over the 3 events] its without a doubt the biggest set of dance events ever to hit Australia. Gatecrashers recent Summer Sound System event in the UK has recently won the Cisco event of the year ahead of other hugely successful events such as Creamfields.
