We’re extremely proud to be celebrating five years of broadcasting underground house and eclectic music all over the globe. We celebrate every year with a massive almighty party and much like last year, we’re doing it over three whole days, with each day focussing on a different aspect of our output. So whether you’re into jazz, world, soul, funk, brokenbeat, disco, boogie, deep house, tech house or more besides, there’s something for you from both live acts and DJs.
DAY THREE : Al-pha-X feat. Eve Abraham LIVE
With the release of their fourth album pending, live-act Al-Pha-X with vocalist Eve Abraham headline the third day of the Myhouse-Yourhouse 5th Birthday party at Nottingham venue, Cast, as a special birthday present! DJs applauded on the station for playing jazz, downtempo, lounge and laid-back selections, bring their eclectic tastes to the terrace, perfectly complementing the world music performance from Al-Pha-X via cinematic soundscapes, electronica and everything inbetween.
Regular performers at past Big Chill festivals and their respective London venues, Al-Pha-X have built a loyal fan-base and received excellent reviews on their performances and recorded material;

Full bar food menu available all day, alongside Cast’s fantastic Sunday Roasts and All Day Breakfasts. The Deli will be open all day serving coffee’s, tea’s and all sorts of deli treats. Children welcome all evening.
Al-Pha-X Biography
AL-PHA-X released his first album “Gravity” with Bardelune Records and then set up his own label in 2004, AL-PHA-X Recordings and released a further two albums “Missing Link” and “A Plea For Sanity” and then later joined I-label and released “Slow Down in 2008? and a soon to be released remix album entitled “AL-PHA-X Re-mixed”. AL-PHA-X Recordings have a digital release of “The Early Experiments” in October 2009 which is a collection of previously unreleased material from 1994-2000.
Declan’s music has been extensively licensed to various labels and has appeared on no fewer than 150 compilation albums worldwide including the critically acclaimed Buddha Bar, Siddharta and Claude Challe compilations.
His music has also been used in over 220 visual productions across the world from Film to TV. For example “Smallville” Warner Bros , “Wish You Were Here ” Freemantle media ITV and “Dead Sea Scrolls” BBC Documentary.
The AL-PHA-X sound can only be described as total musical eclecticism from Cinematic sound scapes to Electonica and everything in between with genre bending and merging of styles such as World, Nu-Soul, Folktronica , Electronica, Nu-Jazz and Classical influences. Electronic lusciousness and beauty mixed with acoustic instrumentation.
Declan also performs live both as a solo performer, with a band and as a DJ.Moreover , he has also worked within a variety of musical styles as a producer, co-writer, performer and re-mixer from singer/songwriter material , Rock , Folk , Jazz and World.
