Cotton Cake go head to head with Thunder Disco Club all in aid of the Princess Royal Trust for Carers charity.
Charity usually begins at home, but on this night it will begin at the Sub Club - who said giving couldn’t be about revelry too?
Cotton Cake - the hard-hitting electronic pioneers - have been first to bring some of the hottest up and coming talent to Glasgow – Claude VonStroke, Boys Noize, Gabriel Ananda, SebastiAn and Mr Oizo. Between celebrating their 5th Birthday on 21st May with the long awaited return of the fascinating Kissy Sell Out and the launch of this new quarterly charity gig, Mehdi and Jamie will be working flat out to bring a summer of seductive sessions to Glasgow, Croatia and Italy.
Thunder Disco Club - the barely-legal disco collective - has managed to land their Glasgow bound funky-doodle-do mother ship without a bump, scrape or fuel emergency in little under a year. The queued round the block, one-in-one out fate of all of their 2010 episodes, has meant more people experience the cosmic journey from the outside, than from the inside. Between catching up with them at the Glasgow School of Art’s street party on 11th June and hitting this charity ear-eye-bashing event, pilgrims are advised to plan for a long period of deep relaxation both prior to and post shenanigans.
And so fate has brought us together to deliver this first instalment of philanthropic partying – moving us all one step closer to electronic heaven, where every night is a shindig and every single sound an audio delight.
Aside from a few crowns that will be spent on making the place look regal; all proceeds go to the Princess Royal Trust for Carers.
