  • Record labels Mesmarize and Legitime team up for a diverse and exciting ambient showcase that really underlines how diverse the term can be, featuring rising star more eaze—in a beautiful church in Ridgewood, to boot.
  • We are thrilled to present this first event collaboration between Mesma Records and Legitime, bringing together three amazing acts in a century old church of Ridgewood, Queens. Going from ambient to noise and following Mesma's Mesmarize events vision, this special service will be an excursion into the moody regions of electronic and experimental music, accompanied by immersive visual and sensory offerings. Doors open at 7PM, music starts at 7:45PM ⑈ More Eaze is the long running project of composer/multi instrumentalist Mari Maurice. Her work touches upon myriad genres and often explores themes of gender, identity, perception, and the mundane. Maurice compositions have been widely released on a number of international labels including Leaving Records*, Orange Milk, and Lillerne Tapes among others. As a performer, More Eaze regularly collaborates with various artists such as Claire Rousay, Michael Pisaro, Richard Kamerman, Seth Graham, and Christina Carter. ⑂ Ohyung is an Asian American musician and film composer. Their music moves between genres, distorted 808 rap and noise to experimental pop and noise. Their most recent record imagine naked! is a collection of ambient soundscapes out now on NNA tapes and was described by The Quietus as a “masterful selection of muscular, shuddering, trembling ambient excursions.” ⑀ Omar Ahmad is a Palestinian American composer, producer, and sound artist. His compositions are inspired by the ever-changing balance between distinct feelings that are paired in the world: empathy and disconnection, loss and discovery, longing and isolation. As a third culture musician, he often finds himself looking to voice his own state of being caught in between movements and never fully belonging to a singular sound or ideology. ⌇Live visuals by The Poet Engineer ⌯ Stage installation by Sarah Philouze ๑ ๑ ๑ The doors will open at 7, the music will start at 7:45. The church's capacity will be limited to 150 people. Tickets will be available at the door for $20.
