Back once again with our fifth party, returning this time to our favorite London basement for a very special showcase of some of the most exciting house djs Ireland and the UK have to offer. With a very special first London headline show for Fio Fa.
For many years now, Fio has been honing a specific sound, blending some of the most exciting 90s tech and prog house sounds in clubs over Dublin. 2018 saw his first official release on his Pear imprint which clearly established his signature fast-paced, pumping sound. Since then releases on the likes of Duality Trax, Radiant Love and now his own Sunset Drifters label have seen him gain support from the likes of Ben UFO, D.Tiff and many more. With a move to London in the last two years, we’ve been delighted to see Fio’s career taking off with shows in Bristol, Edinburgh and Liverpool, and recent NTS appearances. Not to forget a brilliant mix on his Soulseekers Allowence series (run by himself and his sister - DFM favorite Cáit), all allowing him to showcase his understated technical dexterity and deep record collection.
Síofra, resident of Thrust Collective and founder of Perigee mix series, is no stranger to the Dublin scene. Using a multitude of inspirations drawn from progressive house, trance and old school house, Síofra has developed a signature sound which has landed her lineups in Berlin, Paris and Montpellier, with appearances in Ireland with Boiler Room, Index and AVA Festival on lineups alongside Cáit, Skee Mask and LSDXOXO. This year has seen her explore her sound on airwaves like Rinse France, melt Melbourne, Balamii and most recently Hör. We’re very excited for her to make her London debut at DFM.
Cherub and Slinky Kiny are both residents of the amazing Tussle party, which in their own words “focuses upon creating open, ephemerally loving and queer-friendly atmospheres in warming, dark dance spaces”. With previous parties with Byron Yeates, LUXE and Claire Morgan we know they’ll bring amazing energy.
DFM strives to create an open and safe space for all. There will be a zero-tolerance policy to harassment, racism, homophobia and and any form of discrimination. If you see behaviour that has no place on the dance floor, please tell us. We will have a dedicated safety officer on the night for any issues and we will also be around to chat if you need anything.
