BDS is one year old so we're throwing the mother of all bounce parties to celebrate. We are bringing back some of our favourite DJs from the past 12 months alongside some new faces and our formidable residents. Whip out the party hats, your donking shoes and tie both your laces, this one is going to be hard dance all night long.
Lobsta B comes from the underground London donk scene, playing pumping hard dance remixes of nostalgic 90s/00s club classics, which he calls “Hard Cheese Anthems”. Expect to hear tracks that you know and love, mashed-up and turbo charged into high octane party smashers that will have the crowd bouncing!
Hailing from the north-west of England, Hannah Taylor is an icon of the bounce scene. She brings the best in UK Bounce, Hard Dance, Hard Bass, Scouse House & NRG to her mix series ‘Bounce Bangers’ and has a global listenership of nearly a quarter of a million people. This is her second set for BDS after taking the roof off at The Cause last Christmas with Ben Suff Donk.
N!xy and Dev!se
The power couple of the Northern donk scene. NIXY & DeVISe joined forces in late 2020 and have since risen up through the ranks with a string of big releases on all the major bounce music platforms. The pair were finalists in the 2021 Deviation DJ competition, and have appeared at BTIDs ‘Pier on the Pier’ and ‘Bounce Heaven’ events in 2022. In October 2021 they appeared as guest DJs on Andy Whitby’s Bounce Heaven podcast, which allowed them to showcase some of their biggest unreleased exclusives, which were released earlier this year on their first album.
Their DJ style is energetic, with epic vocals, big drops and they love putting on a show behind the decks.
Voidboi b2b Garridge
Garridge was once a king of the Donk bootleg scene. A keen ear for the hard and the silly sides of the UK’s underground dance music scenes made him a force to be reckoned with in the realm of tune production, with a slew of devastating DJ sets for the likes of OffMeNut Records, Planet Fun, and Balter Festival under his belt to boot.
Then Voidboi hit the scene, and Garridge was no more - their razor sharp collection of bangers, crafted under the pale moonlight of the lockdown’s lonely nights laid waste to the outdated Garridge and ripped the bootleg crown from his head, taking Garridge’s place as head of the HSMMG and leading them to their critically acclaimed yet controversial takeover at Bangface festival. For one night only these two arch enemies will reunite to battle to the death on the Bounce Down South main stage with an exclusive selection of bounce, makina and hard house that’s guaranteed to get you sweating within an inch of your life!
DJ Southern Rail
CHOO CHOO, stand back from the platform as the 4:22 southern service is coming through, bringing THE DONKLINE all the way from BRIGHTON.
DJ SOUTHERN RAIL is here to gullify your ear holes, serving a perfect blend of saccharine cheddar with face melting club destruction. Call the DONKLINE, you know you want to.
Big Joe & Mr E
As they say, “if it’s nice, play it twice” - and Mr E & Big Jow are no exception. Having graced us with their presence at the OG BDS fiesta, they’re back once again with bars, beats and bounce straight outta West Yorkshire. Real ones will know Jow’s tune with the one and only Joe Gee ripped up the Klubbed digital charts this year, and these two legends are set to rip up the Waiting Room in similar fashion.
DJ Speg b2b Turbo Goblin
Power duo made up of ex-housemates and BDS royalty Joe & Chris. Mixing up southern donk and northern bounce with more than a few leftfield head-spinners thrown in for good measure, these three will have you bouncing off the walls till the early hours.
