To celebrate our 3rd Birthday and the turn of a new year, we're super excited to host our first event since our rebrand, kickstarting a new series exhibiting the best in UK dance music with strong local support. 20% of our profits from this event will be going to Forgotten Women to support their amazing work.
~ Naina ~
Naina's shows on Beats One and Reprezent Radio, alongside curating insane releases as 1/2 of Hooversound Recordings, has continually solidified her place as one of the most important figures in electronic music right now. A recent nomination in DJ Mag's Best of British and a feature in Mixmag's 30 under 30 pay homage to one of the best talents the UK has to offer. After catching her at Lobsterfest and Foundations, providing heavy hitting bass-laden beats with some of the smoothest mixing around, it was a no-brainer to invite her down for this one.
~ Mixtress B2B Dwarde ~
Mixtress has been a member of the Special Blends family from the start and it wouldn't be our birthday celebrations without her. 2021 saw her go from strength to strength, pushing the hardcore agenda in everything she does and leading the next generation of the UK underground into a new age. Going B2B with her is one of our favourite producers and DJs, Dwarde. Dwarde's varied work in hardcore, jungle and UKG has continually displayed his exceptional musical talents and passion. After their monumental set closing Keep Hush Festival, it was only right to reunite them for what is bound to be an iconic set.
~ Sana ~
We’re very gassed to have Sana, 160 specialist and (another) member of the Special Blends family, down in the big smoke to celebrate our third birthday. Her mix for us back in June perfectly explores the 160 spectrum with silky blends tying the knots between jungle, footwork, hardcore and more. Work with Club Yeke and Inperspective Records has allowed Sana to actively explore the plethora of genres that she draws influence from, emulated in her sets as she lines up continuous curveballs with each track.
~ Shir.in ~
Cutting her trade in London for the last three years has seen Shir.in supporting some of the best names in bass music, alongside being a mainstay on our lineups. An expertise in a wide array of genres is evident throughout her sets, connecting the dots between sounds from around the globe with effortless transitions and finite attention to detail.
