Described as a “polymath” by Time Out, Ben Osborne is a DJ, award-winning producer, writer, music journalist and radio presenter.
He is the founder of cross-platform art project Noise of Art (“a cathedral of sound” – The Guardian) which pioneered late night music events in galleries in London and connects “music with the arts, film and other visual media” (M magazine). He’s played events for stars such as Paul McCartney and DJs internationally, performing in clubs and unusual places, such as National Portrait Gallery, Queen Elizabeth Hall, BFI Southbank, Tate, Volksbuehne Berlin, Moulin Rouge Paris, Cross Club Prague, Abu Dhabi Art Fair and an exploding BT Tower for the Olympics. His books include a history of club culture and a biography of the Arctic Monkeys. Ben’s eclectic style draws from a multi-genre tradition that takes in disco, funk, house, soul, reggae, rare groove, hip hop, afro, jungle, jazz, techno, post punk and electro.
