A truly prolific artist, Mark Broom has a myriad of production credits to his name having worked with world renowned labels such as Blueprint Records, Rekids, M-plant, EPM, Cocoon, Bpitch Control, Warp Records and the legendary Ifach with Baby Ford.
It all started in the summer of ‘89 when he landed in Tenerife on vacation and stumbled across the delights of the emerging sounds of Chicago and Acid House. Returning to the UK, he immediately went in search of this new found music, a pair of turntables were bought and with it a musical career was born. He has also had the pleasure of reworking material from artists such as Robert Hood, Floorplan, Alan Fitzpatrick and Gary Beck.
AJAY C, resident and owner of Taikano. AJAY C has had an interest with music and experience of club culture from a very young age. Listening to Hip Hop and Rap at only 13 years old and with weekly visits to the under age club scene in Glasgow at Sub Club and Archaos. Fascinated by the dance scene and his love of buying vinyl led him to get his first set of decks when he was 16. Experiencing the clubbing haven at The Arches and falling in love with Trance, House and Techno. Fast forward 20 years, he still has a love for Wax and is strictly a vinyl only DJ. He now runs and promotes his own Glasgow based Techno brand “TAIKANO”, hosting upcoming cutting edge international and local talent. Having hosted and played alongside Techno legends Paul Birken, Thomas Schumacher and The Yellowheads, he certainly knows how to work a crowd. Expect him to take you on a musical journey dropping Techno, Acid, House, Rave, EBM and Hard Trance in his sets.
