We go Deep in a LA Warehouse.
A lot of great events have been happening throughout our beautiful city of LA. We've decided to take a step back and provide you all with something a bit deeper than usual, with kicks that dig deep below the surface.
Luckily, Frank & Tony couldn't have been a better choice for this. Considering that they disbanded back in 2017, we thought that there would be no way of being able to hear this duo again. Happily, we were wrong. This will be their debut show back in LA since they've disbanded.
Opening the night will be LA Based DJ/Producer, Damar Davis. His collection of work has been multiplying and evolving rapidly with the release of Native Son, Dance Season Vol. 1, Roses, Kinfolk, and Dance Season Vol. 2. His monthly show “Say Less” on dublab Radio is a space where dance holds the utmost importance. There is no need for words, just move.
We invite you all to join and vibe with us.
Frank & Tony:
Brooklyn-based duo Francis Harris (aka Adultnapper) and Anthony Collins released several records of smooth, dreamy deep house under the name Frank & Tony. The duo co-founded the Scissor & Thread label in 2011. Frank & Tony's EPs gained praise from influential dance music publications like Resident Advisor and FACT, building up anticipation for their debut full-length. This came in the form of 2014's You Go Girl, which was praised as one of the best underground house albums of the year, with the sweet, calmly blissful "Bring the Sun" receiving the most attention. DJ Koze included an edit of the track on his 2015 DJ-Kicks mix CD, and the duo continued releasing 12"s. They concluded the Frank & Tony project with their 2017 release, Odes. Or so we thought they ended the project....
