  • → → WHAT'S GOING ON? ← ← Originally intended as a documentary about the rise of the Black Panther party in Illinois, Fred Hampton, the chapter's leader, was killed by police during the filming. This screening is co-sponsored and presented in conjunction with The Luminal Theater, a group that provides fully-curated exhibitions of diverse cinema and media of the Black/African diaspora in majority-Black communities across the United States & virtually. The Monday-night screening takes place on what would've been Hampton's 73rd birthday.
