**ADVANCE TICKETS HAVE SOLD OUT, BUT WE'VE HELD A BUNCH FOR THE DOOR FOR CASH. EARLY ARRIVAL RECOMMENDED**
On September 18, 2021 The Bunker will present our first party since February 29, 2020.
16 months is by far the longest break in our party schedule since we started doing this over 18 years ago. In that time, the Bunker hosted 35 streams totaling over 420 hours of programming and started a new sub-label, Going In, releasing 14 albums dedicated to long-form musical compositions geared towards meditation, psychedelic ceremonies, yoga, or simply spacing out and going inside yourself. We cannot thank you enough for your donations over the past 16 months, which helped us to support our organization, our unemployed artists, and charities such as The Okra Project, Black Trans Media, Ali Forney Center, Equality for Flatbush, and The Sylvia Rivera Law Project. We are still here now because of this support.
Over the past 16 months Good Room has been incredibly supportive of so many parties and artists in the NYC nightlife community, hosting streams and providing space for DJs to record sets, while the venue itself was deeply struggling to keep it’s head above water. Not everyone stepped up like this, so we’d like to take a moment to recognize Josh and Greg and the rest of the crew, express our gratitude and say that we feel proud to be presenting our first party back at Good Room.
The lineup kinda speaks for itself, eh? Anyway, for those who don’t know …
Headlining the Good Room is RROSE, who has bent time and space from The Bunker booth more times than we can count. It’s always an honor and a pleasure to have them on board. The Bunker’s own ABBY ECHIVERRI went from strength to strength during the pandemic, releasing an EP with The Lone Flanger on Infinite Refractions that got played by almost every DJ during the first No Way Back stream, starting her own label, and flooring everyone with her stream turned album for Going In. ANTENES, who made several appearances on The Bunker Stream, wowing all of us each time with her impossibly deep knowledge, will be closing out the Good Room. Musician and filmmaker PHIL YEAH is another person who remained super active throughout the pandemic, releasing back to back debut albums on Going In and Full Spectrum, and hosting an incredible monthly radio show on Great Circles. His opening set will be his official debut at The Bunker.
In the Bad Room we have CARLOS SOUFFRONT X PATRICK RUSSELL all night long. This will be in The Bunker X style, meaning it’s up to Carlos and Patrick to decide how they want to present the night and split up the time, b2b, etc. We implicitly trust these two residents of both No Way Back and The Bunker to take the reins for the entire night.
This party is dedicated to Mike Huckaby and Andrew Smith, our brothers who passed to another dimension while we were away. Incalculable losses. Infinite love.
Given the recent rise in cases of covid-19, we will be requiring proof of vaccination for entry. A negative PCR result from a test taken up to 72 hours before the party starts is also acceptable.
