It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that AVA Belfast 2020 will no longer take place on 28th—31st May 2020. The health & safety of you and your family, the experience for every attendee and the platform we give to so much incredible talent is paramount to us. It is clear from government guidance and measures announced this week, along with the uncertain timelines, that delivering our festival to the standard that we expect and our audience deserve, won’t be possible.
As an independent festival, we are built on a solid foundation of great local and international support from artists, to attendees, to our crew, volunteers, suppliers and partners. For those who have so fiercely stood behind us, and have continued to support year on year, we want to THANK YOU.
Your continued commitment to AVA is why we stand so strong 6 years on from when we started, here in our home, Belfast. 2020 was the year we planned to go fully outdoor, creating unique stages and ‘taking things up another notch’. We are excited and extensively planning for 2021 already! Festival tickets for 2020 will be fully transferable to AVA 2021 and we would like to ask you to stand with us through this time and transfer your tickets. We fully appreciate that this may not be possible and therefore refunds will be available from the point of purchase.
We look forward to bringing everyone back together again. Until then stay safe, isolate and care for the wonderful community we have around us.
Love Team AVA x
