For our next STRUCTURE at Distrikt Bar Leeds on Thursday 05/03/20 we are showcasing some up and coming DJ talent in the form of Roxby, Bonz, Lunko and Edie Seshwick along with my good veteran self Scott Featherstone. They have all played at some pretty good nights between them all and having heard them all play, I know they will rock the shit out of the dance floor
Lunko: Young talent from the North East of England, constantly producing and performing addictive House Music. Originally a self taught Pianist, taught himself to produce and DJ multiple genres. This versatile DJ’s sets will keep you on the dance floor!
Edie Seshwick: Carried in the womb around the Hacienda and raised within sound distance of the once-pounding 4/4 beat of Wigan Casino … it could only mean one thing …
Edie Seshwick was destined to dance and DJ...
The Seshwick set inspiration …
Todd Terry pops into a Wigan working men’s club with Donna Summer for a pint and cocktail with Gwen McCrae. Sister Sledge’s ‘Lost in Music’ is on the jukebox. They’re joined by Diana Ross, Moloko and Debbie Harry carrying the ‘Heart Of Glass’ glitterball. The bingo’s already finished with an early shout of ‘House’ from Frankie Knuckles. But the beat goes on.
Edie’s credits include The Disco Express, Hotbed, Cirque Du Soul, El Dorado Festival and many more! She is the founder and resident DJ at Studio Honey, an all female DJ line up bringing the best Disco and House music. Studio Honey was launched at the highly esteemed Distrikt club in Leeds. 2020 dates to be confirmed.
Roxby & Bonz are two young DJ/Producers from Teesside. Since their debut these boys have been rinsing the country with their mixture of twisted Tech-House and face bashing Techno, playing for such events as The Zoo Project, Beachjam, The Random Rave Project and have even gained a firm residency at one of the longest running House Music events in the country *riffraff. These boys work hard and play even harder, so expect nothing less that a flamboyant Roxby strutting his magic behind the decks whilst a calm, cool and collected Bonz lays down the groovy foundations of the night.
SCOTT FEATHERSTONE: In the 90s, Scott released a series of EPs that went by relatively unnoticed until recently. These records are now Highly sort after, having been rediscovered by new school and up and coming DJs worldwide, with veterans such as Desyn Masiello (Seekers) and Alex Picone (Small Black Dots) helping in this rediscovery too. Tracks on Scott’s DAC (Deeper Audio Cuts) label are sort after gems in this era of vinyl records making a return to the underground scene, with digital releases being, in general the same old, same old. DAC is perhaps the sound of yesternow, modern yet classic in style.
Scott continues to record, produce and DJ Underground House Music, working closely with Vocalist Kym Sims along with many other DJs and House Artist around the world as well as working on remix projects for general release.
Also an accomplished DJ himself, Scott plays regularly at events, clubs and bars:
