To celebrate 3 years of La Rumba and (roughly) one year of events in Leeds, we're bringing one of Glasgow's finest and most exciting DJs for a cheap, cheerful and mega fun mid-week birthday party. 4th of March sees fast-growing UK favourite, Big Miz, bringing his infectious and energetic selections to Wire.
With regular appearances around the UK, Miz has developed into a key DJ and producer to emerge from Glasgow's underground music scene with a raw and addictive style combining 808 rhythms, disco snippets, acid-tinged percussion and no-BS house music hedonism. Ongoing releases on Dixon Avenue Basement Jams, Monki & Friends and Shall Not Fade labels have provided the young producer with the platform to standout from the rest with some incredible modern electronic dance music productions, leading to increasing shows at the best venues and festivals around the globe.
On support we have LR resident, Román, celebrating our 3rd birthday with a proper La Rumba warmup with everything from percussion-heavy, afrocentric and tribal dance to 90s, chicago and disco house. To open the night, we've invited the very exciting and prosperous producer and friend, Marco Ono, for his Leeds debut, whose recent releases have been supported by the likes of Jamie Jones, Elliot Adamson and more.
