Seb Zito makes his Forms debut. As one of the key players behind the behemoth FUSE brand, Zito has been a prominent face on London’s underground circuit for more than a decade, both as one of the party’s core residents, and through his productions on the Fuse London imprint. Though he’s primarily known for his work as a house and techno artist, he also has an expansive knowledge of garage and its affiliated genres, a sound that can be traced back to his formative raving years. For his first Forms appearance, Zito’s set to return to his roots, as he plays a rare garage set. He’s joined by one of UK garage’s original pioneers, Matt Jam Lamont. The UK producer has been at the heart of the club scene since the early 90s, when he was spearheading a shuffling style of 4/4 as one half of the seminal Tuff Jam duo. The pair’s singular work landed on labels like Casa Trax and New York Soundclash, marking a shift from garage house to what would become the flourishing UKG sound. These days Lamont operates as a solo artist, but he’s still widely regarded as an expert in his field. We also welcome Instinct, the garage-influenced alias of UK artist Burnski. For more than a decade, James Burnham has been known for his minimalist tech house productions for the likes of 20:20 Vision and Poker Flat, but recent years have seen him dropping house cuts with a UKG temperament as Instinct. He’s worn his Instinct cape for a string of excellent records on his eponymous label, most of which fall somewhere between UK garage, speed garage and breakbeat terrain. The bill is rounded off by James Puentes, the London DJ and producer best known for his joint project alongside Miina and Dissonance, Wax On Mare St.
