We're doing a party. A big, galactic, cosmic percussion party with some of our favourite selectors. We who? That's Elevator East and Dynopenguin. What is it? An East London Space Rave.
The place we've scouted for this party is Autumn Street Studios, a pretty overlooked industrial spot in the heart of Hackney Wick with a slick new Void Acoustics soundsystem. We checked it out, it sounded pretty amazing, we had some ideas and we locked it in.
Rolling, galactic dancing music from every corner of the universe, all night long.
Ray Mang, aka Raj Gupta, finds his magic in producing music. Fresh off the back of tours of the US and Japan, Raj knows a thing or ten about taking a dancefloor to the next level. Producer of countless favourite house and balearic disco soaked jams on respected labels such as James Murphy’s DFA, Idjut Boys' Noid recordings, Prins Thomas’ Bear Funk and his very own Mangled imprint. An in-demand remixer. An international travelling party man. It's safe to say Raj is one of London's party OGs, a trusted cosmonaut armed with the kind of secret dancefloor heat that you simply cannot find elsewhere, and we're pretty excited to have him onboard for our intimate warehouse all-nighter.
Galactic support comes from Sounds Of The Universe’s Poly-Ritmo. Poly hosts her own monthly Netil Radio show and her impeccable, globally-minded selections have seen her grace stages at Glastonbury, Wilderness and We Out Here festivals this summer, not to mention memorable Tate Late, XOYO and Boiler Room appearances as of late. We heard her play a blinder of a set at Glasto this summer, and that was that. Get to know!
Elevator East’s very own band of party starters will be joining the bill in the form of Sibson, Bakerlite and M_Edwards, alongside some of Dynopenguin's most trusted local selectors.
Expect smoke, lasers and a full-on voyage into the cosmos. Capacity is quite limited and (for the time being) early bird tickets are priced at just £3. Don't sleep.
See you in the warehouse x
