Mango is back this December for our winter edition and last of 2019. This time we are taking a little bit of Glasgow's Sub Club to the Silo of Griessmuehle for a warm and intimate December night to remember.
In the spirit of Christmas, we have a gift in the form of a very special Secret Act to be announced on the night.
Jasper James’ career has come a long way since his arrival on the scene as one of the youngest DJs to play the legendary Sub Club. Emerging from his roots as a leading tastemaker in Glasgow’s vibrant house scene and breaking away from his peers to become more than just a ‘one-to-watch’ but a respected figure in his own right. A DJ and producer with talent that stretches beyond his years, he’s crafted and developed his own brand of off-kilter house and heads-down techno through extended DJ sets at some of the worlds most respected clubs. Having graced the decks with high accolades in venues such as fabriclondon, THE WAREHOUSE PROJECT, Smartbar Chicago and of course, Sub Club. Just as comfortable in Ibiza as he is playing a festival, Jasper represents the same whether on the big stage, or an intimate basement.
During her time in Sheffield Stevie Cox made a name for herself playing warehouse parties, becoming one of the city's go-to selectors in the process. Combine a self-confessed love of hypnotic, rolling house & techno with a teenage love of breaks & jungle, and you’ve got yourself a ball of energy who adds a spark to any lineup she’s placed on, be it on one of the main stages at Dimensions Festival, or at a 100 capacity basement party. Having always felt a strong affinity to its musical scene and output, a move to Glasgow was the natural next step. Known for a sound that has always resonated deeply with her, the iconic Sub Club quickly became home. Alongside some of her favourite DJs she has joined the ranks as one of the club’s residents.
erlin via Bray's EMA has been gaining incredible notoriety across Europe over the last year. Both solo and as a resident of the Berlin-based Mango night, she has shared bills alongside Peach, Or:la, LNS, Shanti Celeste, Kornél Kovács & Eclair Fifi this year alone. Her eclectic and euphoric selections, much indebted to her love of UK soundsystem culture, have been sending venues such as Berlin's Griessmuhle & Dublin's Yamamori Tengu into a sweat drenched hysteria. September 2019 saw Emma make her prestigious debut on Boiler Room Dublin. While earlier that same month, she played alongside Willow & Brién at Electric Picnic's coveted 'Anachronica' stage, which hosted close to 10,000 ravers on the night.
Although a native of Ireland, Bill Mango's journey began in Berlin. After cutting his teeth, week in and week out, he quickly became a resident of Chalet . Since closing its doors for good, Mango has been making a name for himself as a regular fixture at Griessmuehle. Known for infusing the quirkier sides of club music together with a dash of humour and charisma, Bill Mango has been taking the last 12 months in his stride.
