Amsterdam Gets Physical this October when the German label rolls into town for the annual ADE.
The first of two parties is at Noorderlicht Cafe on Thursday 17th. It promises to be an intimate and personal gathering headlined by Radio Revolution, Amine K, CIOZ, DJ Pierre, Roland Leesker, Emanuel Satie, Hauy, Forever Jung and Yulia Niko.
Noorderlicht Cafe is a quirky, greenhouse-style space with a hip vibe and bustling atmosphere. One of the most unique spaces in the Dam, it is in the NDSM Wharf area and is furnished with repurposed materials and some warming, colourful lights. As such it makes for a very different setting than usual for these artists, so expect them to reflect that in their sets.
Up first is dear friend of the label Radio Revolution, who is a pioneer from South Korea who can play exceptional sets in any setting, from a record shop to an outdoor stage, a sweaty basement to a chilled out cafe. He bonded with Get Physical Creative Director Roland Leesker whilst playing the Great Wall Festival in China this year starting what is sure to be a long lasting creative collaboration and friendship. Radio Revolution draws on all forms of house as well as ambient and nu disco to plot his colourful journeys. Next up is acid house pioneer DJ Pierre who is sure to bring a big bag of tricks, while the likes of contemporary house talents Cioz, Emanuel Satie and Fake Mood all have great catalogues of their own, and years of DJ experiences to draw upon. As well as a set from Roland Leesker, expect further good time grooves from Forever Jung and Yulia Niko.
With just a 6EUR ticket price and very limited capacity, this cosy get together will sell out, so act fast to be part of the Get Physical family fun.
