MIIM & The Brvtalist present two London debuts from the some of the most exciting producers on either side of the Atlantic.
TWINS / That Which Is Not Said is the paranoid outsider-pop project of Atlanta-based producer Matt Weiner. For the better part of decade, TWINS has crafted everything from seductive synth-pop to industrial-dance grooves on records issued by CGI, Clan Destine, Enfant Terrible and 2MR. Through his releases, Weiner has more than proved his sincerely sinister and auspiciously artful finesse of synth-based music. Operating from his home studio, arrayed with various tools of the trade, Weiner culls his subtle scourges of sound with an unending sense of bold exploration, processing tracks of rhythmic, aural catharsis.
When not making music as TWINS, Weiner also runs the CGI_Records label and co-runs the DKA label, between the two releasing records from Boy Harsher, Profligate, Alex Falk, High-Functioning Flesh, VALIS, Scott Fraser, Beau Wanzer, Featureless Ghost, Multiple Man, and more. We are excited to host his London live debut.
Velvet May is an Italian, Berlin-based artist focusing on Electronic Body Music, post-punk and Techno textures. His debut EP “Vast As Black Night” on his label “Tears On Waves”, already received important supports from many artists of the scene like Ancient Methods, Phase Fatale, Paula Temple, Violet Poison, The Hacker, Philipp Strobel, Mannequin’s Alessandro Adriani, NX1, Umwelt and many more.
Velvet May's music goes around aspects like love and liberation and it comes from the stark drama of his living mind. There a no simplifications, everything is translated without polishings and shades, but with respect to his real essence. This will be Velvet May's UK live debut.
The night will also see hosts Faux Naïf and The Brvtalist combine for a special body2body set deep in one of London's favorite basements.
