On Saturday 14th November, the CAMP welcomes a brand new night of eclecticism to East London, FixedFear. With no breaks, the FixedFear crew will be riding the latest uber-cool trends and skidding into Shoreditch, bringing you an exciting mix a of live bands and DJs and always ensuring that image is everything ;)
Actually f*ck the image, we just want to have fun, listen to good music and party!
Kicking things off for their first party, the FixedFear resident DJs; Jamie, Josh and Nick, welcome two of the most exciting new live acts to emerge from London in the last couple of years.
First up on the night is the gorgeous Jem Cooke. With her debut album released but a few weeks ago, she joins us fresh from gigs at the BBC’s Emerging Proms, Camden’s Roundhouse and a string of festival appearances including the Big Chill. Be prepared to be blown away by the spellbinding voice of this exceptionally talented acoustic singer-songwriter.
And to follow, we have Blanco, the brainchild of one of the FixedFear residents, Jamie Blanco. This 4-piece band perfectly blend organic and electronic instruments and their sound exudes an infectious energy that is guaranteed to make you move. Only recently formed, Blanco have already rocked crowds at 93 Feet East and most recently headlining the Future Shorts festival at Village Underground.
Blanco don’t only entertain yours ears, they give you a visual feast with their performances, in the form of live visual projections, courtesy of Entwurf (http://entwurf.co.uk/) - mesmerising is not the word! And the visuals will be captivating you all night long…
The resident DJs, Jamie Blanco, Nick Priestley and Reverend JFK will of course be on hand all night bringing along their fine blend of disco and house, old and new.
Get off your bikes and come have some fun!
