Friday, June 14th • Bar opens 8PM, Green Room 9PM, Club 10PM.
For Flash’s 6-Year Anniversary, we present two of the most experienced and influential selectors of the last two decades.
Japanese underground staple and Cabaret Recordings co-founder DJ Masda is highly respected amongst vinyl diggers and dancers alike. We could not be happier to present him to you on such an occasion.
If you’ve ever experienced the sunrise at a warehouse party in Brooklyn, you were likely walking out of one of Taimur Agha’s productions.
They are joined by Navbox and Edo in Club Level as well as Sarah Myers, Jus Nowhere, and Keenan Orr in the Green Room.
Our friends at Cadence take over the Flash Bar.

Flash Bar: Cadence Take Over
A Japanese DJ, born and raised at the foot of Mt. Fuji, Shizuoka. Cutting his teeth on spinning vinyls in the '90s, Masda has steadily developed his deeper exploration of house and techno. Not to mention his diverse, flawless track selection and precise mixing that integrates the best of the old and the new, it’s easy to see why he is respected as one of the finest selectors amongst Japanese underground scene. Check out his highly-rated mixes for ResidentAdvisor, XLR8R, NightClubber.Ro, Technique Tokyo, and Undersound to name a few.
At Cabaret and Middle of NowHere parties in Tokyo, he has invited some like-minded DJs who share common attitudes. These tireless efforts have made him a key figure in the underground
scene across Japan and Europe.
He launched Cabaret Recordings imprint with So Inagawa to set a platform for showcasing his
twisted, but authentic, view on house and techno. Also, he is spearheading A&R operations for
Tokyo's Energy Flash Distribution. His intense musical journey broadens beyond his home
country to encompass Europe as he now has a base in Berlin as well as in Japan.
Taimur’s DJ resume includes multiple appearances at world renowned clubs, festivals, and parties: fabriclondon, Craig Richards's Houghton Festival, Berlin's Panorama Bar & Club der Visionaere, Montreal’s STEREO, Amsterdam's Trouw (RIP), Miami’s Space Terrace & Electric Pickle, Chicago's Smart Bar, Moscow’s Arma17 & Gipsy, Romania’s Sunwaves, Francois K’s Deep Space, Detroit’s infamous Need I Say More, Ibiza’s Zoo Project, B018 in Beirut, Dubai’s Analog Room, NYC's Output & House of Yes, St Martin’s SXM festival, and many more. As head of buying and distribution at Halcyon Records from 2008 until mid-2014, Taimur’s work helped lead the resurgence of the local Brooklyn scene. With eleven plus years of history and accolades for helping to revive one of the world’s most important dance music scenes, Taimur and Blk|Market Membership hold an esteemed position as architects of New York’s contemporary scene. On the strength of these accomplishments, Taimur has devoted himself full-time to his DJ & production career, his new record label Blkmarket Music, and to The Selectors, his new event series. The 3rd EP is out by T.A.O., which is a collaboration between Taimur, Amo and Ostara and the 4th EP on the label by New York legend Reade Truth entitled 'Violent Rose' is out now.
