We’re so so hyped to announce our first ever gig in the brand new space of Jam Park, alongside our friend and Notions favourite Kornél Kovács - for an all day rooftop shindig that’s sure to be one to remember!
This new venue has some serious potential to become a lasting spot for dance music in the city, and has a wide range of food, drink and games to enjoy alongside the dancing. It’s a very very special space and we can’t wait for you all to experience it.
For most of our Notions regulars, Kornél Kovács needs no introduction, but we’re gonna do just that anyways. The Swedish producer by far and wide was the best act we’ve ever had to grace our decks - he had the Button Factory in the palm of his hand and went through various shades of house with the greatest of ease, from Lipelis to Kasper Marrott to Avicii (!)
Since then he’s released his second studio album, Stockholm Marathon, described by Resident Advisor as ‘how Kovács's bright, colourful landscape looks with rain clouds moving across it.’
Kornél is without a doubt an owner of one of the most unique and enjoyable sounds in house music, even furthered by the output he releases on his label Studio Barnhus that he runs with Axel Boman and Pedrodollar - which this year saw releases from the likes of Joy Orbison and Sofia Kourtesis.
Alongside all of this, he’s also just a great bloke so we’re well excited to get to hang with him again and experience one of his masterful DJ sets in a brand new venue like Jam Park.
Some info about how to get to Jam Park from Dublin City:
• The Swords Express (any number) leaves from Eden Quay every couple of minutes and drops right to the door step within 20 minutes.
• Dublin Bus (41b or 41c) leaves from Eden Quay and drops you on the street, 5 minutes from Jam Park.
AFTERPARTY GOING ON IN WIGWAM TOO!
