Krake means octopus: Over the course of one week the festival spreads across various locations, tipping its tentacles into all kinds of musical styles and activities. KRAKE is not about genres or hype, it’s about music, that dares to step off the beaten track, about surprising performances and a down-to-earth attitude, far off the mainstream. A festival for music lovers. ---------------------- On WEDNESDAY we head to Griessmuehle, where Paula Temple presents the first Berlin showcase of ‘Noise Manifesto’. Challenging structural hierarchies in music, Noise Manifesto declares to “feature at least 50% artists who identify as trans, female, woman, non-male, non conforming or queer." So for this night she invites the uncompromising SØS Gunver Ryberg, Lady Blacktronica under her Femanyst alias and The Lady Machine, a hard-hitting newcomer to the scene. Taking over the other floor are Warning with a showcase of four artists who helped to shape the immanent style the project stands for. All of them coming from different directions and adding their very own spice to the soup that will be seething in the Silo all night. ------ Day I: Ambient Opening w/ Dasha Rush, Cio D'Or and support Day III: Undertow w/ Schwefelgelb, The Horrorist, Petra Flurr & 89st & many more Day IV & V: The Kraken w/ Ben Sims, Dopplereffekt, Regis, AnD, Jensen Interceptor, Alienata, Arad, Otto von Schirach & many more
