We're more than a little bit excited about the guest we've got this month, Marcin Czubala.
He's currently one of the hottest properties in underground house and techno, with his tracks being played an embarrassing amount at recent Buoyancy parties, and at some of the most important raves all over the world.
His sound isn't easy to define: though grounded in minimal house and techno, Marcin's work always bears his unmistakable signature - slinky, bouncy, and full of mystery and seduction. He makes a magical connection between the analogue energy of the jacking techno sound of early daft punk and ultra-modern, minimal stylings.
A little bit of history: He's not your typical techno artist. Maybe that's because he's from Poland, not Berlin. He is also a classically trained musician, and between 1991 and 1994 he performed in over 300 concerts internationally. He started Poland's first techno label, Currently Processing. Marcin recorded some 17 singles and one album, for labels like Neue Heimat and Morris Audio, before joining up with Anja Schneider's mighty mobilee imprint in 2007.
Marcin's album 'chronicles of never' was released on Mobilee in 2008 to critical acclaim. Since then his output has become increasingly infectious - with his last two releases cementing our suspicion that Mr Czubala makes some of the most wonderfully reduced electronic grooves on the planet.
Don't just take our word for it - come out and play. Expect more wild bunting, disco balls, and some excellent music played at high volume...
