BERLIN Minimal Nightlife marks its premiere event in Atlanta by welcoming one of the finest electronic music artists in the game today: STEWART WALKER [Live PA] (Berlin, Germany // www.myspace.com/stewartwalker // www.personarecords.com). On another American tour from his home base in Berlin, Germany, Stewart will rock the states with another series of his unique and mind-pummeling live performances, a unique blend of synthetic and acoustic self-creations aimed squarely at the modern dancefloor. With a massive discography on his own Persona Records as well as seminal labels like Tresor, Milles Plateaux, M_nus, and Force Inc., Stewart Walker regularly makes the rounds in all the major European cities and completes his schedule with packed tours in Asia, Russia, Australia, and throughout the Americas. We've brought him back again to the States, as a special trick-or-treat for those of you who may have missed him on his last visit and for those of you ready for another dose of real candied mayhem.
He'll have support from Atlanta native and Nashville-transplant OLIVER DODD [Live PA] (www.oliverdodd.com // www.myspace.com/oliverdodd) who has just released an LP on his own Konstructure label to rave support from Richie Hawtin, JPLS, Perc, Psyk, and Insideout, among others. His new classic sounding Detroit-inspired EP "Michigan Ave." is also making waves on the DJ circuit from a wide range of jocks including Derek Plaslaiko and Kyle Geiger. He'll be delivering a very special live performance, a resynthesis of much of his minimal discography for your listening and hip-wagging pleasure.
Opening the night in the dungeon will be BERLIN residents John Napier & DJ Woody (aka MADONNA'S NOT TECHNO)-a special extended Halloween tag set to heat up the nocturnal atmosphere and conjure up the spirits. These two DJs have have made their mark in their hometown of Nashville and in other cities like Detroit, Louisville, Knoxville, and Memphis, but they are ready to return to Atlanta with new sound for your listening pleasure.
The Haunted Attic will feature exclusive deep tech house sets from your Atlanta favorites: J-Luv (Aerotecnica/Household), Kevin O (deephouse.com), and Lava resident Brian Dotson.
