A proper family send-off for Bradley Zero's ambitious residency.
Kiwi brothers Beans and Louis Helliker-Hales, who now take refuge in Peckham, have made a significant mark on the UK underground scene in recent years.
Having previously released through international labels such as Paris’ Clek Clek Boom, London’s Hot Haus and Montreal’s Amadeus, the siblings aired a 4-track EP aptly titled ‘Midnight in Peckham’ via Rhythm Section International in 2016, which took us away from their bassy past and into a realm of soulful and elegant deep house music.
They are joined by young London jazz sensation Kamaal Williams AKA Henry Wu. Known for spearheading a new musical wave in the capital, Henry Wu is from Rhythm Section upbringings, also championing the Yussef Kamaal project with eclectic drummer Yussef Dayes.
Taking over the Green Room are the nighttime marauders of Rhythm Section - International Black Records. Self-described as follows: "International Black is heads down, arms up.International Black is for your mind, your body and your soul. International Black is late nights and early mornings. International Black is the sound when the lights go off." You get the gist.
FYI Chris, Mallard x LT and Phrased flag the ship on June 21st.
