  • SAT 7 NOV: APOTHERCARY EGG What a year! This time in 2008 we’d decided to launch our own electro house night at our local pub in north London just as a way of the 3 of us getting more gigs. One year on and we’ve held events at some of the UKs biggest and best venues, met some wicked people, and got in some serious states as well as working with MixMag not to mention the likes of Hoxton Whores, Mark EG, DJ Zinc, Andy Farley to name but a few. Pure Filth Elektro began life as a series of basement parties in Hackney quickly gaining a cult underground status around Dalston and Shoreditch. The unique combination of musical styles combining Electro House, Tech House and Uplifting Ibiza House with live musical elements and visuals, always delivers an amazing vibe in a wide variety of venues from trendy east end locations such as the Russian and 333 to high profile London nightclubs including Egg, Ghost and Fluid. This formula insures a euphoric atmosphere always ensuring a diverse mixture of clubbers from the hardcore underground ravers right through to the Shoreditch elite, with guest DJs ranging from Hoxton Whores and Ministry of Sound’s Matt Weeks through to east end electronic acts such as The Dirty Disco and Death Of A Pony. So we’re celebrating the one year mark in style at the Apothecary (the new room of the Egg) with an exclusive party till 6AM followed by an after party at the Egg till Midday. The success of this event is in no small part down to the loyal crowed of dirty ravers that frequent our events and your support over the last 12 months is what has not only made this night what it is but kept us going. So we’re offering priority tickets to all members of our facebook group, just click “attending” for £5 entry. On the night we have Dirty Disco - Live electro / tech house band playing an early set to get things started and the musicians will be joining in with the DJ sets at various points during the night. DJs on the night will be PFE residents Simon Boulind, DGS, & the GoodTimeKid along with Nathan Galley playing his first of many sets as an official PFE resident. We’ll also have special guest DJs Misura an Italian Worldwide Exclusive Records DJ / producer that will shake your s with some good Tech and Progressive house beats) and A.K. steppa (Phatbeats FM) playing an electro house set. And if that wasn't enough we have live percussion from Frangelico (Space, Ibiza) and visuals by Polyphant VJs along with CD give aways, UV face painting, dancers and an after party going right through till Sunday afternoon. So get down here and help us kick off the second year of filth cos we couldn’t have got this far without you. > The Dirty Disco When asked to describe the pulsating electro theatrics of The Dirty Disco, one crackpot follower had this advice: “Imagine… Ziggy Stardust meets Britney Spears”. And they weren’t far from the mark. What they neglected to mention was this Britney Spears would also have to have a penchant for bad acid, more than a passing interest in the happenings of back-street Soho and a unique way of fusing gyrating electronica with infectious pop hooks. The Dirty Disco’s theatrical and more-than-slightly subversive live shows have earned them a die-hard following in what seems like the blink of a mascara smeared eye; testament to their ability to write the kind of songs that suck the listener in after a single play, only to linger with a more intoxicating intent than a fistful of methamphetamine. With a schedule that sees them completing their debut album, which will include a fantabulous collaboration with Dead or Alive's iconic Pete Burns and mixes by the Uber Talented Dylan Dresdow, who worked with the Black Eyed Peas on their latest album, it seems inevitable that The Dirty Disco will be carving a trail of shattered mirrorballs straight to the unsuspecting subconscious of the nation. The question is, are you ready for The Dirty Disco? > DGS DJ DGS has been playing out on the club circuit for nearly 11 years, appearing at some of the UK's top clubbing venues as well as countless bars, clubs and underground parties. His musical style is based on electro house with very strong influences from a wide rage of genres including break beat, techno, house and even rock. In addition to this he has produced albums for London based hip-hop and punk acts which has also been a strong influence on his performances. DGS uses 100% vinyl, steering away from the digital formats in favour of a more traditional analogue sound often incorporating live instruments and musicians from all genres along with analogue based samplers. > Simon Boulind Simon Boulind has been playing out for 12 years, he started djing from the age of 18 at the Epping Forest Country Club after winning a dj competition there, he progressed on to playing at Aquarium, Shoreditch where he was involved with the successful monthly night Shelter, playing in Ibiza in the summer of 2002. He started out playing soulful house, progressing onto a main room sound mixing electro with prog and tech house alongside uplifting Ibiza tracks, inspired by his own experiences of being on the island. As well as becoming a resident dj for Pure Filth Elektro his dancefloor shaking sets see him spinning regularly at a number of London bars and clubs from The Russian and Fluid to Area and Egg. > GoodTimeKid DJ Eddie also known as The GoodTimeKid has been playing dj sets for 7 yrs. He first realised his passion in his teens when he saw a dj scratching with 2 vinyls. It was not until a heartbreaking moment later in his life that he decided to follow his dream. So he sold his car and bought decks. 1 year later he had a residency and started promoting his own night called ‘Eddies Room‘, playing progressive house and also playing closing sets at the local hard trance club. Also hosting his own late night radio show at uni. It was magazines like Mixmag and loads of England and European acts that caught his heart and he moved to England. The GoodTimeKid has played a number of house parties in every corner of London, building friendships through good quality house music and ‘he’s good guy’ attitude. He soon started doing radio on radioweb.tv playing his eclectic love of music from prog house, electro house, tech house to uplifting trance and psychedelic trance. Eddie’s passion and commitment is evident in his sets, it’s always uplifting, never dark. His sets are never the same and this is what’s most unique about GTK. >Nathan"FILTH"Galley Nathan has been djing and promting since he was 18. He has put on his own events in Cornwall back in the days of the hardcore and has also played alongside djs sharky, sy, slipmatt. Then in 2000 he moved up to Oxford were he played for Project Mayhem, Storm and One Love getting a good following for playing some of the best tunes around at the time and being booked to play at a number of events and festivals including Lost, Covern, Hard Beats, UK Finnest. After moving to London 2 years ago he is fast getting around some of the top clubs and also being sent as far afield as Bali and Sweden playing his uniqe sound of filthy electro and wonky house.
