Sim Hutchins (UIQ, No Pain In Pop)
Sim Hutchins is an audio-visual artist and producer from Essex, UK. Using an array of cheap electronics, his style takes an outsider approach to composition across many genres, channelling the disintegrating drones of William Basinksi, the cosmic synthwork of Legowelt, and Jandek's propensity for atonal experimentation.
rkss (UIQ, ALIEN JAMS, Where To Now?)
rkss is an alias of Robin Buckley, a London-based sound artist. Their releases on UIQ, ALIEN JAMS, Where To Now? and more have explored the materiality of film sound, YouTube and EDM sample packs through the lens of house, ambient and computer music.
Robin Buckley also runs a radio series for Resonance Extra called Lossless Communication, which explores sound discovery in the internet era. Other recent work includes a live improvised performance with Claire Tolan in Berlin, sound design for the art website www.clubdead.io, and Brostep in the Style of Florian Hecker, a multi-channel composition available for download with limited edition lanyards and a game which offers a virtual environment for listening to the composition.
Swedish producer aircode works with sounds extracted from various corners of the electronic experimental field. Using distorted phone recordings, manipulated synths and unexpected rhythms creating a challenging, melancholic and ever changing sound, leaving you hanging.
Peb is a musician who's work is concerned with alternative harmonies, meandering pulses and psychoacoustic precision, where sound is seen as an inextricable part of space. Peb likes tones that are suspended in the air.
