This Halloween, Dalston’s music and arts festival LAND OF KINGS returns for a one-night, one-off Dungeon Disco in East London's only cave.
Hosted a secret grotto location, LAND OF KINGS will be shackling Metronomy, Skull Juice, Soft Rocks, Johnny Rock and Living In A Disco DJs to the decks for a freaky fancy dress fiesta.
Tickets for this intimate party are FREE and can only be obtained by visiting www.facebook.com/landofkings from 1st October (after becoming a fan).
Topping the bill of tricks and treats for the night will be an uber-rare Metronomy DJ set. Winning coveted support slots with Justice, Bloc Party and Klaxons early on in their career, the band are now in the final leg of their own headline tour, recently packing out the Forum. Snap up this opportunity to see front man and founder Joe Mount on the decks in such close quarters. Scarily good. Having remixed the likes of Roots Manuva, Gorillaz and Franz Ferdinand to name but three, Joe knows how to freak-out ‘floors.
Next up, Skull Juice, aka DJ tag-team and Bloggers Delight protaganists Alex and Ben. With a love for fusing heavy metal, techno and disco to explosive effect, they’re sure to get the skeletons rattlin’ dem bones in the grotto disco.
Soft Rocks, meanwhile, are half-Dalston, half Brighton-based collective and producers who's obsession lies with “obscure, undiscovered and eclectic tracks” whilst Johnny Rock will be throwing some Turkish psyche and disco into his signature bumpy house sound.
Finally, basement tricksters Living In A Disco DJs complete the bill spinning the kind of “smashing disco pumpers, glitzy electroid thumpers and 90s dance rumpers” that see them regularly pack out E8 basements with dedicated party people.
