GENTLEMAN’S DUB CLUB
+ very special guests
After this summer’s acclaimed project with The Nextmen, Gentleman’s Dub Club return in January 2019 with the hotly anticipated album, Lost In Space. True connoisseurs of blending influences from genres such as dub, reggae, ska, bass culture, jazz, and everything in between, the band has adopted a futuristic tone as they continue their mission to discover the ultimate bassline.
Gentleman’s Dub Club is a nine-piece band that was formed in early 2006 in the basement of number 44 Headingley Lane, Leeds. In 2013 with the release massive hits such as “High Grade” the band burst onto the UK circuit, rapidly building a reputation for delivering energetic live shows. Gentleman’s Dub Club bring the party to crowds of all ages hungry for a dance floor workout, with their gigs often ending in a frenzied mosh pit reminiscent of a mid 80’s ska night. Live effects and mixing make for a crystal clear sound, and the band’s larger than life stage presence makes for a mesmerising experience.
A colossal 2018 saw Gentleman's Dub Club take their energetic, jaw-dropping live show across the UK, Europe and beyond with a hefty touring schedule encompassing festivals including Bestival, Shambala and Boomtown to gigs in Tunisia, Iceland and La Reunion. Working with musical luminaries such as The Nextmen, Joe Dukie (Fat Freddy's Drop), Chali 2na (Jurassicn 5), Kiko Bun and Hollie Cook the band were also invited to take over the 1Xtra studio of reggae DJ icon David Rodigan. What a year this has been and 2019 looks set to be even bigger
