Two long-standing New York parties team up for one big, outdoor, holiday-weekend celebration of music and dancing.
Soul Summit is a New York institution founded by DJ Tabu, DJ Sadiq and DJ Jeff Mendoza. Their parties in Fort Greene Park, centered around families, food and dancing, have been Brooklyn staples for nearly twenty years.
Mister Sunday is a party founded by DJs Justin Carter and Eamon Harkin. From Gowanus to Industry City to Nowadays, they've hosted dancers of all ages and walks of life for nearly ten years.
Today, the two parties join forces on Mister Sunday's home turf – the back yard of Nowadays, a park-like space with trees, a serious sound system and good Caribbean food.
Whether you’re a septuagenarian, a house head, a skater, a toddler, a bear, a witch, a New York lifer, an out-of-towner or a twenty-three-year-old club kid, this party is for you. As long as you’re nice, you like to be outside and you’re willing to put your phone down and dance, you’re welcome here.
Tickets are $20 in advance or at the door, but we always have a handful of $10 and $15 early birds available online. You can also RSVP to get in for $15 before 5pm, but keep in mind RSVPs don't guarantee entry. Our holiday weekend parties are always big ones, so grabbing a ticket ahead of time is a good idea.
The party’s rain or shine, all ages are welcome and so are dogs on a leash. See ya soon...
Nowadays is an indoor and outdoor gathering place on the border of Bushwick and Ridgewood. We've got a full bar, a kitchen, a nice sound system, a wood dance floor and lots of trees and house plants.
We want Nowadays to be a comfortable space for everyone. Please treat everyone with respect when you're here. If someone says or does anything to make you feel uncomfortable, let us know. All of our bartenders, security, managers, sound staff and door staff can help you.
Also, for the sake of the vibe, please don't take pictures or use your phone on or around the dance floor.
Thanks! And we look forward to seeing you soon.
