Prototype is bringing Brooklyn stand outs Mike Servito and Justin Cudmore alongside LA’s own Bears in Space resident Chris Bowen.
Mike Servito, raised in Detroit in a time where old-school raves were still a fresh and exciting concept, with trailblazers like Claude Young, D Wynn, Mike Huckaby and Derrick Carter instilling their wisdom and creativity on an up and coming generation. It comes as no surprise that Mike Servito would derive his music inspiration from the city that raised him and it’s culture of classic techno and house. He’s been making waves in the scene for over two decades now, notably as a resident at Ghostly’s Untitled alongside Ryan Elliott, Derek Plasaiko, Matthew Dear, and Tadd Mullinix. Today, Servito now based in Brooklyn, a resident at The Bunker in NYC - in the rare instances he’s on these shores. More often increasingly in Europe and beyond, he’s carved a reputation for his high energy take on house and techno in some of the world’s finest clubs and festivals.
Next up we have another Midwest turned Brooklyner DJ, Justin Cudmore. Having quickly seen frequent successes early on in his career including a residency at The Bunker, the creation of his side project ‘Hot Mix’ along with Mike Servito and Gunnar Haslam, and a seminal release on Honey Soundsystem in 2016. His musical preferences are truly enigmatic, ranging between more severe acid lines to pulsory and groovy basslines. Opening up the night will be a Los Angeles local and one of the masterminds behind Bears in Space, Chris Bowen.
