Element is proud to present one of the legends of electronic house music - Dave Seaman.
There aren’t many artists who’ve soundtracked the birth of dance music and are still leading its development more than two decades later. There are even less who have gifted both the club and pop scenes with unforgettable musical moments that get talked about in hushed tones years after their creation. Dave Seaman is one of a select few. Whether it’s one of his spine-tingling Global Underground or Renaissance CDs that’s still burning a hole in your stereo years after its purchase, or the perfect pop of Kylie’s ‘Confide In Me’ that he wrote, produced and remixed, there’s very few with their heart in electronic music who haven’t been touched by his oeuvre in one form or another.
Having devoted almost every weekend over the last 20 years to moving dancefloors from Ibiza to Iceland, Seaman has played the world’s most recognised festivals and clubs in more than 80 countries throughout his career, while still lending his production nous to the music industry’s A List. Along with crafting beats for Ms Minogue and Pet Shop Boys, everyone from David Bowie to New Order and U2 to Michael Jackson have received a Seaman re-rub.
As busy as ever, he still continues to create. His recent releases on Suara, Noir Muisc, Sudbeat & Hive Audio have seen him enjoy both critical and chart success and with a whole wave of remixes ready for release, you know Seaman’s always on the frontline of electronic house music.
Joining Dave is his co-owner of Selador Recordings, Steve Parry. Steve has amassed a wealth of musical knowledge and honed some serious DJ skills over his time working as manager of the world famous 3 Beat records, a 3 year residency at Cream in Liverpool and a host of headlining gigs across the globe. As a radio host, his Red Zone show ran for 10 years on Juice FM in Liverpool featuring the hottest new music and regular world class DJ guests. His new show on Frisky Radio, The Selador Sessions continues in that vein.
Supporting Dave and Steve will be Element resident DJ Ross Jackson. And in room 2 bringing some funky house and classics will be local house hero Scott Park along with Darren Seivewright.
This is going to be one of the biggest nights Fife has experienced in a long time.
