Having just recovered from Brassica's stormer of a set back in January, Limbs returns to Archspace with another dosage of live electronic music, specially for those caught between the dance floor and concert hall.
This time round, we’re seriously excited to host a true rising star of London’s electronic scene.
Marble Empire is 21-year old singer and producer Matt Berry from North London. Berry is a multi-instrumentalist, who writes and produces all his own material, which he describes as a blend of, ‘gritty bass-lines, jazz harmony and guitar lines soaked in effects’.
Influenced by the likes of Ben Khan, Jungle, SG Lewis and Frank Ocean, tentative early single releases last year quickly gained him much attention from BBC Introducing and his single 'TTSU' saw Marble Empire feature in BBC6 Music’s Top 30 for 2017 and Spotify’s Fresh Finds. Clash Magazine also recently suggested that Marble Empire ‘seems able to do anything’ on his latest single ‘Head Above the Water’.
A serial collaborator, Marble Empire will be welcoming a number of special guests onstage with his band throughout the night.
The Limbs team – Two Legs and Rainbow Shark – will be on duty for support.
Spring is round the corner (probably) - and things are about to get groovy.
See you under the arches.
