Loz Poulton (LWE - Head of Production)
“The new space opens up a great platform for production. With its previous life as a TV & Film studios, it has a range of rigging capabilities where we can fix a substantial L'Acoustics sound system over the dancefloor. We'll also be flying trussing with a complex tessellating lighting design, which I’m super excited about; and not to mention the installation of over 85 lasers.”
The headliners for the first event will be none other than Bronx duo, The Martinez Brothers, who will be hosting a Cuttin’ Headz showcase. The Bros always bring their A-game when they play in the UK. Previously we’ve seen them rise to the big occasion at Tobacco Dock on NYD 2015 and launch Printworks London back in 2017. So we know first-hand they have the pedigree to set the ball rollin’ in this new space.
Arkityp – pronounced “archetype” – has several definitions: a prime example. An original model. A constantly recurring motif. Or an inherited idea. Having grown together from the hotbed of East London’s scene then later becoming pillars of the FUSE parties, Rossko and Archie Hamilton have formed a mutual understanding. The Arkityp project is a meeting of their sounds – a partnership based on intuition and a shared vision. Whether their fluid B2Bs or well-crafted productions, the duo are a force to be reckoned with.
Next is a producer who recently dropped his infectious 'The Numbers EP' on Cuttin’ Headz. In a club environment, Argy provides fearless, eclectic sets that weave from driving industrial techno to rare disco edits. Who knows down which pathway his natural flair will take us? Known for groove-laden sets, the Greek DJ is an expert in creating refreshing, unique dancefloor experiences. Having made his name as part of Luciano’s Cadenza crew, Argy is well accustomed to injecting irrepressible energy.
Most bedroom DJs dream of the big league, but few are fortunate enough to turn their hobby into their profession. Matt Tolfrey is one of those few who made the successful transition. From playing student parties at uni to making a career out of producing and touring as a DJ. An open-mind, varied selection and an innate ability to lead a crowd set Tolfrey apart from the pack. Furthermore, he comes with the Seth Troxler seal-of-approval. That’s good enough for us!
