• The end of the month is here (already!) and having last week brought you Oakey & Seb, The Gallery deliver another unmissable night of main room hedonism on Friday 27th January as Gallery legends Judge Jules, Tall Paul and Dave Seaman take centre stage. This one’s a true ‘classic’ Gallery line-up and features the talents of three of clubland’s most popular DJs from the last 10 years. All three spinners are still very much pushing the musical envelope forward each week around the world, as their DJ diaries remain as busy as ever. Jules’s Saturday night Radio 1 show continues to road-test the sounds of tomorrow and his enthusiasm for his day job never looks like wavering. Similarly, The Gallery’s Tall Paul still adores what he does and like Jules, Paul’s Kiss FM show continues to showcase all that is new and great about electronic house music. Dave Seaman is another old pro, whose Global Underground mixes remain cult CDs. More recently he’s released a couple of Therapy Sessions compilations, but Dave will be returning to the Renaissance mothership in March as they release Renaissance Masters Vol. 7. Can’t wait. Elsewhere Radio 1 ‘Resident’ Jon O’Bir makes his first (of many) Gallery outings of the year, with newcomer Chris Spiking on warm up duties. Over in T2, the dust is still settling after Steve Lee’s phenomenal Christmas Party set where he had The Gallery faithful lapping up his feel good flavours!! This month however, Steve returns to front his monthly Joy session, welcoming into the mix two of London’s leading DJ/Producers – Ewen MacNeil and Spencer Parker. Ewen is the man behind The Beginerz and a shedload of storming underground cuts, whilst former Defected A&R man Spencer, has just released one of Pete Tong’s fave tunes of 2005 – ‘Open Your Eyes’. Should be a storming night, plus there’s more houseyness from Chris Linnell who kicks the night off early doors.
