On the last Saturday before All Hallows’ Eve this year, we invite a cast of house and techno’s best artists to our underground space. Room One invites Roman Flugel as he launches his fabric 95 mix. Emerging in the 90s Flugel has put out acclaimed works under several aliases, and was largely responsible for bringing a light on Frankfurt’s house and techno scene. Thomas Melchior also lands. A staple of the Perlon imprint and outright master of Berlin’s minimal house scene, Melchior has proven himself as one of the sound’s very best. Using complex drum arrangements and underlying melodies, his fixation on eerie subtleties makes them the perfect soundtrack for Halloween. Rounding off the bill is Ghost Culture bringing his freakish New Wave sound.
Over in Room Two, Ellen Allien lands. One of the most exciting DJs to come from Berlin's fierce club culture, Allien is always pure joy to witness digging between 90s rave and modern day house and techno selections. She’s something of a polymath, too – whether she’s wearing her A&R hat for BPitch Control or designing for her fashion label the Berliner always delivers on the highest level. Rounding off this Halloween night in Room Two we invite resident Terry Francis to deliver on his tough edged house cuts.
