A new music tech summit is coming to Nairobi.
Taking place across multiple venues from February 12th through 18th, Kilele will span workshops, concerts, seminars and presentations. There will also be live performances from artists such as KMRU, Nyokabi Kariũki, Labdi Ommes, Monrhea Carter and Astrid Bin. The full lineup is still TBA.
Kilele is a joint initiative from music-focused social enterprise Santuri East Africa and the Études for Live-Electronics team from Vienna's University of Music and Performing Arts, with further support from the Austrian Science Fund and the Goethe-Institut Kenya. The conference will "create a space for meaningful exchange," according to Santuri cofounder Gregg Mwendwa.
